i love arm balances but have a bit of a cranky wrist. would love to see a beautiful arm balance sequence that is easy on the wrists. hugs & namaste!
I have working on lotus for years. My hips are pretty tight. I would love a sequence that helps open the hips. Thank you for your offering.
I could use some work on my forward bends. Sitting or standing doesn’t matter. Forward bending with legs to the side is even more difficult than together. Thanks!
Arm balances are a challenge for me too! I’d love to see a sequence that helps break them down really slowly so I can piece things together with great alignment and look as awesome as YOU doing them!
I can get up in head stands and arm balances, but always at the wall. I go right over without a place to stop. Want to be able to come up in the middle of the room. Love all your videos.
AMAZING giveaway! I am working on them but shoulder openers and/or inversions are my big challenges. I liked your handstand up the wall video and would love more little tricks like that!
Awesome comments, you guys! Keep ‘em coming and please share this with friends who might be interested!
Well…I’m a certified yoga instructor and feel like a yoga imposter since I can’t do a headstand or handstand without the support of the wall. One day… What a generous gift, Kat!
Handstands!
I’m with Melita. I would love to improve my arm balances, but if possible, find a sequence that is easy (or just easier) on the wrists.
My biggest challenge is staying in the moment. So often I find myself thinking about a million different things during my practice. At times it feels beneficial, like my practice is opening my mind to new ways of thinking. Other times I notice that it’s because my practice is pushing me, and it’s easier to think about something else than that. So, I’d like to find a way to remind myself to stay connected- a way that I won’t forget to remember!
My biggest challenge is consistency in practicing yoga

shoulder strengthening and handstands!
I am new to Boulder, from Georgia. I came here to find myself. Unfortunately, I’m struggling with mind-body connection, as my mind wanders too much and my body injures easily. I am hoping to begin a yoga practice here, but my old injuries keep getting in the way. Oldest being hand/wrist problems, so putting weight on the right palm is sometimes painful. I also suffered a severe low back injury last year, and this year i separated my shoulder and broke a rib in a mountain bike accident. I know I need help! Thanks, good luck to all, and congrats to the winner!
I am having a hard time narrowing this down! But my biggest challenge physically is that post-giving birth (ahem, two years ago) I still have weak abs, plus a weird hip thing. Mentally, I too sometimes have trouble staying focused during class, especially during savasana.
Twists….I need work on ALL twists. I am size 12-14 and have a bit of extra around the middle so lengthening the side body in a twisting practice is SO important but I never seem to get enough of a combination of the lengthening + whatever other movement pattern in needed in twisting peak poses….
I would like to learn the crow pose properly. I just don’t get it.
I also need some help with my hips. For the most part I’m in pain almost every day now…
Thanks Kat!
This is such a great giveaway!! I have practiced yoga off and on for several years, but am still very much a beginner. I would like to work on developing a consistent practice that stretches my body and calms my mind. I am currently pregnant and would like to prepare for labor and recovery after birth. Thanks so much for the chance to win!
The biggest challenge is finding ways to get around my wrist injury, and accepting when my body is telling me “no!”

My biggest nemeses are my tight shoulders. Through a combination of stress and competitive tennis, I knot up all the way down my shoulder blades. Shoulder openers in your class are my favorite (even though they are hard)! Thanks, Kat!
Thank you for asking AND offering! How to condition my thoracic spine to bend back? I halt once I bend past the Lumbar.
Such great posts, you guys. Keep them coming and tell your friends! I can’t wait to help one of you with your challenge!
Parivrtta Surya Yantrasana and Visvamitrasana. These poses “encompass” opening I do not yet have! Would love your guidance! Peace and love out to you -Martha
My nemesis pose is half-moon. I would like to learn how to gracefully get into this pose and be able to hold it without immediately falling over. I would also like to be able to transition into other balancing poses from half-moon. Thanks so much for your amazing classes:)
arm balances thanks
