Yesterday I took Heidi Michelle Northcote’s 12pm class at Kindness Yoga.
I’ll be honest: I felt pretty crappy yesterday. I was tired, lethargic, and generally dragging. In fact, I dragged myself to class with all the will and good intentions I could muster.
Then, I took Heidi’s yoga class. Her teaching style reconnected me to the succulence and sweetness of my yoga practice. Heidi’s vivid word choices to describe the breath and our action in the poses (beautiful, powerful, expansive, amazing, incredible) reminded me exactly how juicy and delicious a yoga practice is. The simple fact that I was able to get on my mat yesterday, even if I wasn’t feeling too hot – was something worth savoring. Heidi’s teaching called me to appreciate each breath on my mat as something pure, sacred, and wondrous.
Thank you, Heidi, for shining the light back on my practice!
